November 25, and December 2, 2015, we have watched this movie entitled "The Phantom of The Opera. And this are the photos of the Phantom wearing a mask together with Christine.  The Phantom cast by Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess as Christine. At first while watching this movie I felt not so interested what's the movie is all about. The other casts were singing and I find it like so mess up at first, I don't understand what's going on. And as the movie continues and after hearing Christine singing, I feel awaken because of her beautiful and so clear voice. Then I started to focus on the story. Not only Christine has this amazing voice, when I hear the Phantom singing I tell to myself, wow its really such a nice voice, then I started to get curious who is the man behind this mask.

Furthermore as the story goes on, the Phantom singing with Christine and the Phantom was really amazed to Christine's beautiful voice. And seems like the Phantom were so in love by Christine voice and he get obsessed with this girl. Even Christine were fascinated and felt amazed while the Phantom singing as Phantom really has such a very wonderful voice, but Christine can't love Phantom back the way he loves her, as Christine already have someone with her and that is Hadley Fraser as Raoul, Christine boyfriend. Then the Phantom gets angry and mad but at the end, the Phantom still give way because of the love that he has for Christine, loving is his greatest weakness so he let the two Christine and Raoul to take their chance and be together.

And because I was so curious about Phantom who is Ramin Karimloo in real person I have search about him, what he really looks like. and there he is, his photo in real life. After seeing him the more I couldn't believe that this man really can sing, can sing very well, and that makes me a great fan of him.I admire him for having that kind of talent as I do sing as well but not as good as him, well i wish I could have it too. But then I really look at him as the real man with a real talent and gifted person.

Seminar on Media Literacy: "Mobilizing the Millennials as Socially Responsible Prosumers"

This Seminar was held in APC's Auditorium at around 8 o'clock in the morning, 25 November 2105.The objectives of this seminar is to develop sense of social responsibility among the RAMpage editorial staff and APCians in general; and to create a discourse on media literacy among APCians.
This seminar has three speakers, First Edmallyne Remillano, she is a Head Writer, State of the Nation with Jessica Soho, and Secretary, Talents Association of GMA Network. Second Speaker, Jan Meynard Nualla, she is a Program Producer, Global Conversations on CNN Philippines Affiliation: and Talents Association of GMA (TAG), Society of Asian Journalists (SAJ). And the Third Speaker, Lian Nami Buan, she is a Associate Producer for Segments, State of the Nation with Jessica Soho; and Associate Editor, SubSelfie.com Affiliation, Talents Association of GMA.

These are some topics that I remember, discussed during the seminar.
Those photos shows that people nowadays are more responsible for what is in or what is popular, I don't know what they get from it. It is very humiliating that people are more concern supporting Aldub nations rather than giving attention about the Lumads of Mindanao who are desperately calling out for help. It is very sad to think that people now are really doesn't care anymore about the happenings or tragedy that the world having now. I'm not talking in general but we could see most of people are really not in to this now and I know there is some people still are concerned.
Another one, this post makes me think that , Oh My G. ? Where's the privacy? Where is the respect? Really? I agree on what Jan Meynard Nualla said, that we cannot blame her/him for hearing this kind of conversations in public but broadcasting it on socaial medias such as twitter, facebook, etc. and some more mentioning the names I don't think that is right? Give some respect. Yes we have all the rights to post, to write whatever we want, but be responsible and think about your post if its just right. Respect others privacy.

Thanks for Edmallyne Remillsno discussing the Role of the Media and Advocacy Journalism.
The three role of media, First is to Inform, to Educate , and to Entertain. I believe on that, Journalism is a Public Trust.. a Public Service.. The media is the Fourth Estate, A link between the private and public sectors, media has the power to set the agenda. Their Objectivity and fairness , lies in the process, corroboration, all sides of the rule and of course fairness. Advocacy Journalism increase awareness on certain issues, raise awareness, spark public discourse. Prosumers of media, proactive consumers of the media demand transparency, social relevance, demand discussion on pertinent issues that affect society and individual lives, be discerning of the reports that are presented to them and how they consume them.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song, or even idea and passing it off as you own. This includes information from web pages, books, songs, television shows, email messages, interviews, articles, artworks or any other medium. Whenever your paraphrase, summarize, or take words, phrases, or sentences from another person's work, it is necessary to indicate the source of information within your paper using an internal citation. It is not enough to just list the source in a bibliography at the end of your paper. Failing to properly quote, cite or acknowledge someone else's words or ideas with an internal citation in plagiarism.
RE: ( www.lib.usm.edu/legacy/plag/whatisplag.php ).

Well plagiarism is actually a criminal act these days. Many of us are not aware in this law and here in the Philippines we have a copyright law which is enshrined in the intellectual property code of the Philippines, officially known as Republic Act No. 8293.

People could'nt avoid to plagiarize specially if you are a student. We all know that everything we need is already in the internet, every information you need is only needed a click and then everything will pop up completely. Students nowadays are very different before, I still remember the time when I was in high school, computer and internet that time is not yet popular. We only rely on dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other informative books. there is no chance for us to plagiarize any ideas because we are working out things by our own, we are doing our projects and assignments with the help of ourselves.

People can avoid plagiarism by having an originality on their works, by expressing their own thoughts and ideas. It is not bad to get an idea with someone but its really such a good feeling if you make something that came from yourself.

SINGAPORE

SINGAPORE

Singapore officially the Republic of Singapore, and often referred to as the Lion City, the Garden City, and the Red Dot. Singapore is a leading Global City State and Island Country in Southeast Asia. It lies one degree (137 km; 85 mi) north of the equator, at the southernmost tip of continental Asia and Peninsular Malaysia, with Indonesia's Riau Islands to the south. Singapore territory consists of diamond-shaped main Island (commonly referred to as Singapore Island and Pulao Ujong in Malay) and more than 60 significantly smaller islets.
The English language name Singapore comes from the Malay Singapura. Singa means lion and Pura means Town. Singapore is a small, heavily urbanized, Island city state in Southeast Asia.

RE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore

If you would think to travel in this country don't be worried because this country is incredibly safe to travel in, and it offers an abundance of activities, free sights, and a mix of cultures. But you should be aware that the country has a lot of  laws and some of those are really weird and harsh. Most of the time they called it a Fine City, why? because if you would neglected their laws you will be fined and that would really expensive as you don't expect so be careful. But don't let this laws discourage you from visiting Singapore, if you are a respectful traveler you're not going to get in trouble. Singapore has a lot of beautiful places to visit in, like Sentosa Island, Singapore Zoo, Singapore Flyer, Night Safari, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Universal Studios, Gardens by the Bay and many more. Your tour will never be complete without visiting their places of interest.

I've been in Singapore for almost 5 years, and I really enjoyed my stay in there, why? If you would see Singapore is really one of the best and beautiful country in the world, not only that Singapore is also known for its low crime rate and precise cleanliness. Even though they're telling that the cost of living in Singapore was expensive, for me its okay. Because, during my stay in there I felt so secured and safe everywhere I go, people are well disciplined and the place were really clean, neat, and the air was really refreshing. Hopefully when I get there back again, I would love to choose to stay in there for good, why? because I love this country. And I would suggest, If you haven't been there yet, you should give it a try to visit this beautiful and very safe country. You will never regret coming in to this country, your time will worth it...

PARASYTE

The movie entitled Parasyte is a very interesting one, its a Japanese movie directed by Takashi Yamazaki and written by Hitoshi Iwaaki (manga), and Ryota Kosawa. The main characters are the actor and actresses named Shota Sometani as Shinichi Izumi, Ai Hashimoto as Satomi Murano, and Eri Fukatsu as Ryouku Tamiya. This is just a part one of the movie, and as far as I know the part two of this movie was already released in Japan but haven't yet release outside the country.

Parasites are the mysterious worm like aliens that fall from the sky. They penetrate through the ears and nose of human beings and live off their brain while dominating their body. Now with humans appearance, the parasites live among humans.

One night while Shinichi was sleeping with an earphone on, the parasite tried to enter to his body but this parasite didn't get in thro
ugh his ear as he has an earphone on with him. Its kind a weird because the parasite did get in through his right hand without even have a hole or wound on his hand. Then even before the parasite takes over his brain, he was able to fight with it, he had stopped the parasite going in through his arm by putting a tie on it, so the parasite lives in through his right hand and live together. Shinichi and Migi the parasite living to his right hand now became friends, Shinichi believing that the parasites are responsible for countless murders all around the world and I am glad that he feels responsible because he knows the truth, but aside from that I really felt so bad when Shinichi's mother was taken over by a parasite and he wasn't able to do anything to save her mom and that was the saddest part of this movie.

What I like the most in this movie was the part that there is one woman who has also been taken over by a parasite and comes to observe Shinichi, and that is Ryouku Tamiya. She wanted to do a lot of experiments, she have used the body and she became pregnant. Its seems like she was really very curious about being a mother when she find out the power that the mother has. She was very eager to find out where the mothers get their strength from. She's wondering what could really be it being a mother. So its gonna be exciting what's gonna happen next on the part two of this movie, well I actually can't wait to see or watch the next episode of this movie. Its giving me a lot of idea and thoughts of what could it be happening on the next episode. Definitely, I would be waiting for it.

Traffic Congestion in the Philippines

What are the real cause of traffic congestion in the Philippines? Well, I am going to discuss some causes of traffic congestion.. First cause of traffic congestion is lack of  discipline of the drivers and the pedestrians. When you go out to the roads, you can noticed a lot of drivers who are not following the traffic sign, most of them are also neglecting the rules and regulations implemented by the government. How important following the rules and regulations on the road! Is it for our safety? Well everywhere you go has a rules and regulations to be follow even when you are on your own house. rules are made to be follow, traffic lights and traffic signs placed there to be our guide when we are travelling. If you refuse to obey, there will be a possibility that it will result to an accident and cause traffic congestion.

Next cause of traffic congestion was the growing number of vehicles inside and outside of metro-manila. A lot of cars, jeepneys, trucks etc. are still on the road even its already older than my grandparents. The Government shall make a law that will limit the use of vehicles for lifetime. According to LTFRB approximately more than 500 new vehicles are being registered everyday and only few are put on the junk. Growing number of vehicle is only a result of the poor public transportation in metro-manila. Its very inconvenient taking MRT and LRT . Trains itself have always problem on their mechanical. The flow of people have grown into its limitation because metro-manila is not only congested with vehicle but also in population that our public transportation is not eligible anymore holding the number of people commuting everyday. Nowadays, it is very affordable to have your own car. there are so many company offering a new car on a very affordable price by the use of installment or in full payment.

Next cause of congestion is the constructions of the roads and highways making the roads narrower. There are so many constructions along the way, building new skyways and reconstructions of the damage roads. The faster the traffic the faster our economy grow. Philippines is still in the third world country because of the slow moving economy due to traffic congestion. If we want to improve the traffic, first we need to know how to follow the rules implemented by our leaders  and we need to be responsible enough to do our obligation in our country.
We can avoid traffic congestion if we were only knew how to be a responsible drivers, commuters and pedestrians. We need to put disciplines to ourselves because our economy depends on us.

APC SOM-week

October 26, 2015 our first day of School of  Management (SOM) Week. This is my first time to encounter this kind of event, so I am curious what is this event about. It was a very sunny day then we had our parades, we are walking under the sun, it was really very hot then but we had just ignored the weather and enjoy the parades instead. As if we are like kids enjoying the parades under the very hot sun. It was fun and cool, we have enjoyed it. I am so excited for the upcoming days of SOM week, especially the most awaiting event is none other than the upcoming MR and MISS SOM pageant that will happen on the 5th day of SOM week.

And the next following days, the other activities started such as the Sports Fests, the game Running Man, Clash of Courses which all of the students from school of management has to compete with the activity of Quiz Bee and a few seminars. I am one of the facilitator for the game Running Man and I am so Glad to be a new member of (BMAG) Business Management Group. I wanted to congratulate  BMAG organization for the success of their activity, and I heard that this is the first time happened in APC (Asia Pacific College) that even the non soab students and visitors are allow to join this game or activity. I could say that the other students are really enjoying with those activities while others are not, because most of students were busy reviewing for the upcoming midterm examinations the week after that.

Nevertheless, the most awaited event the Mr. and Ms SOM 2015 still stood out. I could say that most of the students are really very excited even I was so excited as well to watch this pageant happened on the last day of SOM week Friday, 30 October 2015. I have had a great time watching this event, many guests and visitors were in  especially those students from school of management to support their friends who are joined the pageant and most of the contestants parents are also present on the said pageant. I have been fascinated with all the candidates, I am amazed because all of them were really had full of confidence and all of them were look so great and stunning that night. And the most awaited precious and excited moment of that night has held, the announcement of the Mr. and Ms. SOM 2015. I wanted to congratulate Mr. Karylle Lapuz and Ms. Jennah Cruz for winning the title of Mr. and Ms. SOM 2015.
However, all the candidates did great on that said pageant and I had such a really great time watching this pageant, I could say that it's worth my time. A relaxing and refreshing feeling for this kind of event in the school.

APC Non-Smoking Campaign

APC's Non - Smoking Campaign presented by Emer Rojas of New Vois Association of the Philippines and Dr.Dario Lapada.
I think Emer Rojas is a very great example for everyone who are smoking, I saw him that he is very regretful for his mistake as an smoker. And also because of that he will be suffering for the rest of his life. I admire him being the man behind of this non-smoking campaign. I believe that, his pioneering on this campaign will work, being an example for everyone makes people think twice about quitting to smoke especially me as I am smoking person too. I am thankful for this campaign and to be a part of their seminar, because of this I am about to quit smoking now.
And this is what happened to him, he is now one of a patient called Laryngectomee which a person who has had his Larynx or Voice box been removed. A partial laryngectomy preserves the voice, the surgeon removes only part of  the voice box, just one vocal cord, part of a cord, or just the Epiglottis and the stoma is temporary. After a brief recovery period, the trache tube is removed, and the stoma closes up. The patient can then breathe and talk in the usual way. In some cases, however, the voice may be hoarse or weak. In a total laryngectomy the whole voice box is removed, and the stoma is permanent. The patient called a Laryngectomee breathes through the stoma. A Laryngectomee must learn to speak with air coming from the esophagus or an external device.

This is the external device that he is using. This device called Electrolarynx. An electrolarynx sometimes referred to as "throat back", is it a medical device about the size of a small electric razor used to produced clearer speech by those people who have lost their voice box. Usually due to the cancer of the larynx. The most common device is a handheld, battery operated device placed under the mandible which produces vibrations and allow speech. Earlier non-electric devices were called mechanical larynxes. Along with developing esophageal voice, robotic voice or undergoing a surgical procedure, the electrolarynx serves as a mode of speech recovery for laryngectomy patients.
Yes, smoking kills it can cause you for having a cancer that will lead you to death if not trace earlier and without proper medication, you might be also like Emer Rojas who are now one of a Laryngectomee  people. So before it's too late, we can prevented it by quitting smoking as soon as possible. So Stop and Quit smoking now.

Movie - Turn Left, Turn Right

Turn Left, Turn Right is a 2003 joint Hongkong - Singaporean film, filmed in Taipei, Taiwan. Produced and directed by Johnie To and Wai Ka Fai, the film main casts are Takeshi Kaneshiro as John Liu, Gigi Leung as Eve Choi, Edmund Chen as Dr. Hu, and Terry Kwan as Ruby.
This movie was adapted from A Chance of Sunshine story by Jimmy Liao.

This story is about the two people who are destined to each other, living in the same building separated only by a wall, and are always near to each other but can't seem to find one another.

In this picture it seems like they already know each other very well but it's so funny and weird that they don't even know the name of each other, until they find out that they had already met before during their high school days. During that time they both feel the same way, it's called "Love at first sight". What happened before is also the same incident how they meet each other in the present. It is just a coincidence? or shall I say they are really destined to each other that even when they are near or far from each other what's meant to be is meant to be.

While watching this movie I feel that love is so powerful, and I begin to believe in destiny. Their faith in love to each other is so strong, they show their love even if they don't even see each other and no matter how long will it take, they still in believe and it's seems like they had a feeling that they are going to see each other again no matter what. But destiny is such a playful thing, they are always near to each other but they can't seem to find one another. I could say everything has a reason, and everything that is going to happen has a perfect timing.

And this is what I like the most in this movie, the ending of the story. The best ending I've ever seen, they are both frustrated about not being able to see each other and they decided to take jobs abroad, when they are about to leave the place, an earthquakes strikes destroying the wall that separates their apartment, and both finally see each other. Here is the perfect time has arrived.

Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo

The teatro play entitled " Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo" was entertaining. All cast were good in terms of acting. The play were starring by Mr. and Mrs. Santos,Mr. and Mrs. Reyes, Maria the made and the Fire brigade Chief . I can say they were a good actresses and actors, but I noticed that the concept of the play was undefined , the script and the words they have used are not easy to understand. I have heard some words that i really don't know what it means and there are some scenes that really hard to explain, most of all i could say it was nonsense.

 However, I know somehow this
play has a message for everyone, and that is for us to find out. But its really hard to find out what is that play really all about and what message they want to give us, because of their undefined concept and used of words that really not understandable. Also most of the scenes are funny which is good for the viewers.
All the casts in this play were really good in acting especially Maria, which is a gay and we all know that a gay could do such a really good entertainment, and could make us laugh in every way that they do like their actions, the way they speaks and the way they are.
I'm not really sure about what the message is they want us to know or a lesson they want us to learn, but in my opinion at the beginning of the play where they were talking about the rice , and they have mentioned the place where they were living. About the rice, for me I got some idea about it when they say that the rice are better in other store or place , for me is like they are telling us that we have an options that when you compare in terms of life they want to say that we have an  options and choices, so we better choose wisely and look for a better one. About where they are living which is in Makati, they have mentioned that the rice they are eating were good and its supposed to be good because they are living in the said place, for me it is like when you were on that kind of place you should have that goods that kind a expensive one,so when I heard that conversation this is the idea that comes into my mind, it is like they were talking about the difference between the poor and rich people. And some other scenes they were showing an argruement between men women, what comes into my mind is sometimes men might be right but not all the times they are right, same with all the women, we might be right sometime but somehow we will might be wrong.

Heneral Luna

In the film Heneral Luna, General Antonio Luna itself was a great and brave leader of the Philippine revolutionary army during the Philippine - American war. He serves as a supreme chief of the army under the first Philippine republic.
It was an epic true to life movie that tells us about the story of General Antonio Luna during  his
era. I could say that this movie is very educational since not all of us are not aware who he really is, especially nowadays.
The movie is great since the actors and the directors are great too. I admire them for their natural acts on their role and delivering their lines and scripts in a very natural and nicest way. They all make this film a simple one but it gained the attention of all Filipinos that ever since  we Filipinos are never united on one goal. Perhaps, some of the General Luna's lines are very meaningful like what he said, "Our real enemy are not the Americans but ourselves". A very deep words from him showing we Filipinos are struggling with ourselves, which is the most enemy of ours. We need to find our self first to reach our desires. I also like his line saying, "No one is above the law even the president", which means the law is powerful above anything else. Some of the officials hated him so much because of being arrogant, for me he is not being arrogant, it is just part of being an effective leader. I just can't accept that a good, intelligent, brave leader had been assassinated and killed brutally by our fellow Filipino unknowing who is the man behind this crime. He just want independence but do we really deserve independence? Do our heroes deserves to die for our country? I don't think so.
The film is also related on the present, because what happen before is also happening today. People are fighting for power, Filipinos are lack of discipline to comply for their obligations. General Luna is a good model to us showing his love for our country. Unfortunately, others were not agree on what he is fighting for.
Lastly, I suggest to return the law of the first Philippine republic article no. 1, stating "Whoever disobey the command of the supreme chief shall be executed   without the benefit of a trial in military court.

Self-Introduction

A Soft Hearted Lady with a Brave and Good Personality.

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself. I am Mary Grace C. Padilla, 25 of age from Plaridel, Bulacan, but currently staying in Brgy. Villamor Pasay City. I am newly enrolled in Asia Pacific College with the course of  BSBA-BM (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration , Major in Business Management). For you to know, I am from a broken family and I am the bread winner of my family since I graduated High School. I have three siblings, my parents separated when I was 8 years old, so my mom raised us on her own. Ever since me and my  siblings were just staying in our relatives house till we grew up while my mom working in other place. So after graduated high school, I decided to work and I manage to look for a job. First, I worked as a service crew in Jollibee and after that, a friend of mine offered me a job to work abroad then I decided to grab that opportunity.

Then I travelled to Singapore to work as an Performing Artistes, it is more like on dancing and singing. Working abroad is not easy, a lot of sacrifices, and you are so far away from your family which make you feel so lonely and sad. So after earning enough money I went back here in the Philippines to run my own business to stay here for good.

And when I came back to philippines I build a clothing shop in Baclaran Terminal Plaza, my goods are imported from Singapore as I have known a friend who are also in this kind of business and she became my supplier. Basically, my business didn't worked out because my supplier migrated to another country and decided to stop the business with me, because of that matter I also decided to close my shop and get out of this  business.

As a bread winner of my family I can't afford to stop working, I am also supporting my young brother who are now in high school, and my brother's two kids as his wife was gone since after birth. So, I became a mother of this two kids and I treated them like they are mine.

My family is my priority in life on that time, they are my weaknesses and my strength too, their happiness are my happiness too. Then after closing my business, I decided to return back to Singapore to work. On that time while working, I decided to build my dream house and save money at the same time so that when I go back to Philippines, I can continue my study in college.

And here I am having my own house in Bulacan and starting to fulfill my dream to finish my college and to have a degree.

On that experience I could say that I am tough enough to face any hindrances blocking my way throughout my goal, I became matured enough thinking all the things on how to survive on all kinds of environment. At last I could say that I am really a "Grace" for my family.
